Here is my version of the crochet headband from the Flower Girl Cottage. I crocheted the headband using cotton yarn until it was about 21 inches, then sewed the two ends together. The flower is from my pattern here. I crocheted the flower in the same color as the headband and in cream, and I haven’t decided yet which looks the best. I should probably put alligator clips on the backs of the flowers that way I can change them out from time to time.

Crochet Cable Headband Earwarmer

Crochet Cable Earwarmer

I recently found a fun, new pattern for crochet earwarmers!

Crochet Cable Ear Warmer Pattern

It is a fairly simple pattern that works up quickly. I think the pattern should be considered advanced beginner or intermediate level. The only thing I did differently was omit a few rows since it was a little loose around my head. You can use any standard medium weight yarn. Acrylic is warm, but the cheaper yarns can be scratchy. Cotton is usually not scratchy, but it is not as warm. I used Red Heart Soft yarn – it is 100% acrylic but is not scratchy at all. These make great stocking stuffers, and they are perfect for the cold weather!

Crochet Valentine Romance Headband – spring version!

Completed Headband

Completed Headband with flower

I have really enjoyed the Crochet Valentine Romance Headband (free download on ravelry). So far I have made a blue one for DD2, a purple one for DD1, and an adult size in purple. The pattern on ravelry is JUST the headband. So I designed my own flower to which I added a lovely purple button.

The flower was crocheted with Caron Simply Soft yarn in white with an E hook. The headband was crocheted with Bernat Satin yarn in lavendar. I will work on putting together a tutorial for the flower.

Batch of Crochet Headbands

Here are some fun headbands/earwarmers I’ve been working on. They would be perfect for a Valentine’s gift or just a fun project to make for yourself. I crocheted each of these in 100% cotton yarn (except for the Delightfully Chunky Headband Earwarmer which is crocheted in a wool poly blend). My New Favorite Crochet Flower

I received this hat for Christmas, and I loved the crochet flower, so I had to try to recreate it.

My version is not exactly the same as that of the one from my hat, but it is close. In fact, I think I like my version slightly better! I like the detail and how flat the flower lays – a perfect addition to any hat, headband, etc. If there is enough interest, I will do my best to write up my version of this flower.
